Where Art cannot always be used as a form to create a profit, it can be seen and used as a powerful way of communication and education, possible to get in touch with the unknown and unseen perspectives of life needed to make it whole again. Maurice Spees
I have been a video performance artist for over a decade. Always wanting to communicate a message in the most powerful way possible. Starting to experiment with pure entertainment eventually maturing into longing for more meaning, educational, something with a message. Always with the challenge to use only visuals, combining the physical expressions of body and soul in mental silence, as compared to written and spoken words.
Transforming it into a form of communication that is effective and can reach out to all generations.
A universal communication measure that is consistent in it’s ability to move people. Using visual art and performance art. Expressing a way to understanding from the heart of the proportional spirit in people.
Life is truly an exploration for me finding a freedom through the boundaries of life and our senses.
On my search for what inspires me I have found a great environment in SE-Asia that contributes to just that. All I want to do through my work is to help people find their inspiration by connecting with the things that drive them, towards the resolution of all illusions.
Always on the move to follow my inspiration for the huge variety of perspectives on life. Finding a way to simplify my life to keep in touch with the moment that drives me towards spiritual growth.
Always continuing to grow in experience, never loosing touch with what is possible today.
While being educated in both Art and communication through life, I always tried to merge them together. However most people know that artists have an advantage, with no need to stand we still thinking about how to make their work understandable for the masses. Or the lucky one’s don’t need to think about how to make a production profitable.
Instead artists are led, able to let it all out purely following their feelings and spontaneity. Expressing what you feel is in or out there.
While this can be really personal, all I have experienced is that it always connects others to their own feelings, which tells us something about the feeling human being. Feeling through the experienced emotional body into the energy of the soul.
Like many others, I really think art is as much needed as other forms of communication are, because it shows a perspective that we’re not able to look at nor see following our defined conditioned little lives. Abstracts of life that are capable to move at least something that hasn’t previously been moved in that way.
However when one doesn’t know what is there to see or learn from the abstracts of life, one wouldn’t go for an artistic approach, while it might confuse people. We’re not accustomed to change, because it doesn’t suit us. Our lives have been accustomed for us while we consume our needs. What do you have to loose but to win.
What art can do is beautiful and for me an absolute necessary way of communication. It’s almost like something that just gives you a glimpse of who you really are. For some people one glimpse is enough to become aware of the magic of life, but for others even million glimpses doesn’t even move them a single bit.
What I always wanted is to contribute to humanity, but not necessarily following traditional methods. Because if they would have worked in the past problems would have been solved by now wouldn’t they.
While this background has brought me where I am now, I continue fulfilling and executing all my emerging creative ideas when possible. I feel we’re on the brim of continuously making new things come alive that have not earlier been brought to attention, but that are absolutely needed to create the awareness that resolves all old aspects of ourselves into authenticity.
It seems like as an artist you need to struggle to connect yourself to that brimming creativity that is urging to scream out. Tell us who we are and what we’re capable of. It’s been a light for me that once it shines it always wants to keep on shining. Taking every possible approach out of the closet that is possible to show a way to growth and a possible evolution.
Hmmm big intentions, I go for it... Life is beautiful!
